Alta Vista High School - Home of the Hawks

Established in 1929, Alta Vista High School is a comprehensive high school located near Phoenix in Arizona. Our mission is to provide students with the social, academic, technological and physical skills necessary for success in the community, the nation, and the world. Alta Vista High School is an excellent school where all involved are a part of the family. We offer a quality education focusing on languages, science and art.

Currently, approximately 1500 students from a variety of backgrounds attend Alta Vista High School, and we are still growing. We host an average of 3 exchange students from all over the world per year. With a new addition and renovations completed in 2007, Alta Vista is now a two-story 275,000 square foot building that sits on 46 acres of property.

With almost 150 course offerings, students can discover their strengths and preferences as they prepare for life after high school.
